We think of a chair as a small living space, where you can eat, read, or work.
And when sitting for long periods of time, people adopt a variety of postures in their chairs, such as straightening their backs, leaning back, or crossing their legs.
We believe that a "comfortable chair" is one that allows you to sit comfortably in any of these positions, so that you don't get tired even when sitting in it for a long time.
Compared to regular chairs, zaisu chairs allow for a wider range of postures, such as sitting cross-legged or with your legs extended forward, and we were hesitant to commercialize the product because we had difficulty finding a solution that would accommodate this diversity.
A high-quality top board carved from solid wood with meticulous attention to detail to comfortably support a variety of postures and angles.
By eliminating all unnecessary functions and components other than this one item, I believe we have been able to create a small, unobstructed, simple and comfortable living space.

We think of chairs as a small living space for a person, where you dine, read or work. When you sit on a chair for a long period of time, you might straighten your back, or bend backwards, or cross your legs. My thoughts on "a comfortable chair" is a chair that could hold any position comfortably and won't get tired.

Compared to a normal chair, people take more positions on a zaisu, like crossing their legs or throwing it forward. So it was difficult for me to find the right balance to hold all those variations, and was hesitant to make it as a product.

A high quality backrest carved out from natural wood, particular to solving those problems. I concentrated solely on this point, and excluded everything else, which made this simple and comfortable little living spa ce.
