Collection: Gira Gira Grain

There are various types of "mokume" in wood.

The term "wood grain" that we often hear refers to the pattern of annual rings that appear on the cross section of wood.

However, although the word "mokume" is pronounced the same, there are various differences, and special mokume is a rare part that can only be found in a few percent of the many logs.

Depending on the pattern, it is called something like "XX mokumoku," but at KOMA we generally call it "Gira Gira"!

On this page, we will be highlighting products that have been made using beautiful, shiny wood that we have come across by chance.
