This dining chair has been produced with various model changes since 2009.
When designing a chair, we first consider comfort that suits the purpose, rather than form, and we value the "beauty of utility" that naturally emerges once functionality is fulfilled.
With that as a premise, we draw the details while taking into account the processing process, etc.
In this case, we especially value the beauty of the back of dining chairs.
This is because chairs set at tables are usually seen from behind.
The chair is designed so that the person sitting on it naturally straightens their back, making their posture look more beautiful.
Around 2009, when the first model of sui chair was born, KOMA had only three employees, no directly managed stores, and only received a few chair orders per month.
For small-scale production of one or two chairs, rather than preparing a machine set and processing,
It can actually be more efficient to rely on your instincts and carve it out by hand.
The sui chair has undergone repeated model changes while retaining the original design, and almost all of its parts are still hand-carved.
