I found a walnut board in the warehouse that had beautiful grain, but when I looked closely I saw that it had a small crack on the edge.

However, I really wanted to use that board to make a tabletop, so I cut it at an angle to avoid cracking.

The result was an exquisitely perfect shape, like a linear version of an oval, somewhat refined, with no corners that get in the way or feel oppressive.

This low table is a product that makes use of that same design.
