We reconsider what is most important about a chair: comfort.
For example, no one can sit still in a chair for three hours.
People take a variety of postures in chairs, such as leaning back deeply, sitting shallowly on the seat, crossing their legs, or leaning on the arms.
Any position is comfortable and you don't get tired even if you sit in it for a long time. That's a comfortable chair.
The factors that determine the comfort of such a chair are the balance of angles, curves, and dimensions.

When designing, the first thing to do is decide the use and purpose of the chair.
Is it a chair for eating, working, or other tasks, or is it a chair for relaxing and leaning back?
If we take the former as the standard, the closer we get to the latter, the lower the seat will be, and the wider and deeper it will be. Both the backrest and seat will also tilt back.
The comfort of sitting is achieved by combining the height, width and angle of each curve.

The Curva lounge chair's deep curve and wide backrest firmly embrace the body, and the arms, with a design that can only be achieved by hand using blades, fit comfortably around the arms when you rest your elbows on them.
The seat and back cushions are made of two layers of hard and soft materials with a good balance, and although they are soft at first, they do not sink in and provide firm support, reducing strain on the lower back.
The SH is set low at 350mm, and the wide seat and angle design to match make it the perfect chair for relaxing on holidays or at the end of the day.

I ask myself "what is a comfortable chair?". Which I think is the most important factor to a chair, when we think of it as a tool.
For instance, no one sits on the chair for three hours without moving. Sometimes you may lean back deeply, or sit on the edge, cross your legs, or lean against the arm of the chair. You take all sorts of posture while sitting down. To hold every one of those positions with no stress, is the answer to a comfortable chair.
What makes that kind of chair, is the angle, the curve, the measurements and the balance of those elements.

When I design, the first thing I think of are the usage and purpose of a chair. Is it for dining or for work, or to relax completely leaning against the back.

If we set the dining chair as standard, the latter the purpose is, the height of the seat gets lower and the width and depth will widen. Also the angle of the backrest and the seat face will both lean to the back. Depending on the height, width, angle and the curves of each element, the comfortability of a chair is defined.

Deep curves and wide backrests hold your body comfortably, and armrests that could only be expressed with blades used by our craftsman, would fit your arms perfectly. Cushions for seats and backrests are made in two layers, balanced between hard and soft fillings. You would feel the softness when initially sitting down, but won't sink in, which would prevent back pain.
Seat high is set at lower 350mm, and it is designed with seat face and angle to meet the needs of a chair to relax on weekends or at the end of the day.
