This chair is a flagship product that represents KOMA 's concept of "creating products that fulfill the quality and beauty of one-of-a-kind works," and has been produced since 2010 , with model changes being made whenever the company was satisfied that "we had created something better than the previous model."

When I started my training as a furniture maker, I decided to draw 10 idea sketches every day. As I get older, I gain more knowledge and experience, and so I focus on quality over quantity. Although I draw fewer pictures, I still continue to draw every day. After 20 years, it has become as natural an activity as making a living. Only a small portion of the sketches are drawn up into drawings, some of these are made into prototypes, and some of these are then turned into actual products. So I sketched every day, drew drawings several times a week, They make several prototypes per month, but only a few products per year.

The cocoda chair in particular has a high hurdle. Since it is advertised as a flagship model, it is a stage where I can show my best performance as a furniture craftsman, designer, and representative of KOMA , and it is also a ring where I can go one-on-one with my past self. No matter how many prototypes they make, they never manage to surpass the previous one. There's no doubt that experience and skills improve with each passing year , but it seems that there are other factors that play a major role. It's all about the balance of passion and that sort of thing with skill and experience, or maybe timing... This is a chair that I am constantly creating, searching for that moment when the hour, minute, and second hands of a clock line up perfectly at midnight .

The cocoda chair2020 has thicker legs, through-holes, and top rails than the previous model, wedges have been added, and the internal structure has been changed, making it stronger in all aspects.

A minor change was made in March 2022. ( There are no changes to the form . )
