The first chair I made when I began my training as a furniture craftsman was a humble baby chair—crafted in eager anticipation of the child who was to be born just a few months later.

I still remember the joy when my child first sat in it, the nervous excitement as it became something to climb and play on like a small piece of playground equipment, and later, the bittersweet feeling when it was finally outgrown.

In our home, that chair has come to symbolize the memories of our children’s growth.

Because it is used only for a short time, I hope it becomes something that helps cherish those irreplaceable moments.
