[Young Works] Blower by Masayuki Tsuchida

At KOMA, we have started club activities, and as a camping club we go camping once a month.
The camping club decided to increase the number of homemade items they made, and as their first project, they made a fire blowtorch.

Since we are a woodworking furniture store, there is a limit to what we can do with the metal parts, but we wondered if there was any way to make them expandable.

I think the changes in the wood over time and the changes in the brass parts due to soot and heat give it a nice character as camping gear.

[About maintenance]
- If used for a long time, the surface may dry out and lose its luster.
If you apply wax to it about once every six months, just like you would to any other piece of furniture, the wood's texture will improve with use, and you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.

*Wax can be purchased from our online shop or in-store, but please read the precautions carefully before use. Always soak cloths, sponges, etc. that have wax on them thoroughly in water before disposing of them (if left as is, there is a risk of spontaneous combustion).

・Small scratches, dents, ring marks, etc. may be able to be restored using sandpaper or an iron. If you start to notice any issues with the appearance, please feel free to contact us. We also regularly hold free maintenance workshops at KOMAshop (announced on social media).
