Every year, my family would make Shoreiuma using eggplants and cucumbers picked from the fields, choosing ones with unusual shapes. By the time of the Okuribi festival, the vegetables would have wilted, and I felt that this was a little sad even as a child.

I made this because I thought it would be nice to have something like this.

The deep green of the Jindai Zelkova, the vivid purple of the Purple Heart, and the beautiful orange of the Kenpounashi pear.

We chose tree species that take advantage of the natural color of wood and have a color that is closer to the real thing.

MATERIAL / SIZE
Base Wenge / 130×80×15
Eggplant Purple Heart / 60×50×60
Cucumber Jindai Zelkova / 70-60 x 20 x 40
Hozuki Kenpou Pear / 60×35×35

[Precautions for use]
-This product has an oil and wax finish.
Placing wet items on the surface will ruin the feel and may cause stains, deformation, or cracks.

[About maintenance]
- If dirt or dust adheres to the product, wipe it off quickly with a dry cloth or a tightly wrung-out cloth.
- If used for a long time, the surface may dry out and lose its luster.
If you apply wax to it about once every six months, just like you would to any other piece of furniture, the wood's texture will improve with use, and you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.

*Wax can be purchased from our online shop or in-store, but please read the precautions carefully before use. Always soak cloths, sponges, etc. that have wax on them thoroughly in water before disposing of them (if left as is, there is a risk of spontaneous combustion).

・Small scratches, dents, ring marks, etc. may be able to be restored using sandpaper or an iron. If you start to notice any issues with the appearance, please feel free to contact us. We also regularly hold free maintenance workshops at KOMAshop (announced on social media).
