Kurozankaku leather is crafted from Japanese Black Wagyu cattle using a traditional Japanese process that combines tanning techniques with urushi lacquer finishing. Its surface displays a distinctive shimmer, resembling countless tiny diamond-like facets, which has earned it the name “the black diamond of leather.”

Each piece is handmade individually by skilled artisans. Highly resistant to abrasion, this leather has historically been used in martial arts equipment and was reserved for high-ranking armor during the Sengoku period. Combining durability with refined beauty, it is regarded as one of the finest leathers produced in Japan.
