Single board console-05

The warehouse is a 10-minute drive from the workshop.
The space is filled with prototypes, inventory items, furniture awaiting delivery, and even toys like surfboards, giving it the feel of a secret base.

And there are rows of pieces of wood, centered around a single board.

Every once in a while, when I have free time, I go there alone, carrying only the drawing kit I always carry with me: a silver-capped pencil and a black leather notepad.

He sat cross-legged on the ground, doing nothing but staring blankly into space.
I was supposed to be dozing off, but then I realized, "Oh, I was asleep just now..."
I get up and walk around, then get on a motorcycle parked in the corner.
Then he returns to the workshop without even taking the drawing set out of his pocket.

When I do that sometimes, about once a year my pencil starts running wild.

"Oh, if I cut this board that's slightly curved on one side here and put together a frame like this, it would make a perfect desk. Oh, this round thing is a side table. It would be fun to make this into a bench."
In one to two hours, he sketches out 10 to 20 designs and draws up a blueprint with the dimensions of the components.
On the way back in the car, we hurried to the workshop, exclaiming, "Yes! It's here! A big catch!"

In this way, we strive to make the most of the individuality of each piece of wood, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces.
