One day, an editor interviewing me for a magazine asked me if he wanted a stool for his home entrance.

Since the use is limited, I wanted to design it so that the activities at the entrance were packed into the smallest possible size.

First, we set the SH at 380mm, which is a little lower than a normal stool, so that it is easier to put on shoes. (It is possible to cut the legs to make it even lower.)

A 120mm high grip is provided to help the user stand up after putting on their shoes.

The seat, which is 300 mm deep, can be flipped up to store shoe maintenance tools.

The grip and legs are carved out with a knife to create a soft, unified impression, and the seat is carved out with a plane to create a shaped chair that is compact yet packed with KOMA 's attention to detail.
