This is a kagami mochi (rice cake) carved from maple wood on a lathe.

We have pursued a realistic appearance and the coolness that can only be achieved through artificial products.

The shape is designed to look like soft mochi sagging under gravity.

And unlike regular KOMA furniture, the finish used is a "soap finish."
The whiteness of the ingredients is used to the fullest to create a dignified atmosphere of New Year's. The slightly fuzzy surface also gives a realistic impression of the powdery texture of the mochi.

The mandarin oranges are made of mahogany, and the leaves are made of Jindai Zelkova. Not only do these materials mimic the real colors, but the presence of the materials themselves also adds a finishing touch to the overall design.

SIZE W150 D150 H125
MATERIAL: Zelkova (Zelkova) / Mahogany / Maple / Oak

[Precautions for use]
*Soap finish is a type of paint that preserves the texture and color of the material.
While you can make the most of the color and texture, the strength of the coating is inferior to that of our regular products, so please understand this before purchasing.

[About maintenance]
- If dirt or dust adheres to the product, wipe it off quickly with a dry cloth or a tightly wrung-out cloth.
- If used for a long time, the surface may dry out and lose its luster.
Soap finish paint can be purchased at hardware stores or online. If you have any questions regarding maintenance, please contact us.

・Small scratches, dents, ring marks, etc. may be able to be restored using sandpaper or an iron. If you start to notice any issues with the appearance, please feel free to contact us. We also regularly hold free maintenance workshops at KOMAshop (announced on social media).

[Young People Series]
KOMA continues to encourage its young employees to "create their own work every month." The company purchases the work, adds it to their salary, and sells it, which we believe is a sustainable way to develop human resources.
We aim to be a group of craftsmen where each individual has their own originality.
