[Wood shavings]
"Sawdust" and "plane shavings" are the waste that is produced during the finishing process of blades, and they are so important that they reveal the skill of the craftsman, so much so that it is said that "the skill of a craftsman can be judged by looking at the sawdust."
Not only the handling of the blade, but also the sharpening and preparation techniques must all be of a first-rate standard in order to produce clean shavings.
For this reason, KOMA is particular about even the scraps, and only those who can produce beautiful scraps are entrusted with working with blades.
As a token of this, we give away a small bottle of scraps produced during the finishing process.
